Steve Hawke talks about his new book The Valley. This stunning novel sweeps across four generations of one family, who have lived hidden away, deep in a secret valley in the Kimberley. When young Broome schoolboy Dancer visits his estranged relatives to escape an angry gang of bikies, he finds himself tangled in the enigma of his missing mother Milly. Along the way, he discovers the story of his Indigenous heritage and his true identity.
